Editorial Review | Stratford Homes is an above average modular home builder. Their standard floorplans have good specifications and their custom options are strong. The builders we interviewed spoke in positive ways of Stratford Homes and the quality of the construction. This is an option to consider for modular home buyers in the Midwest who have fewer options than modular home buyers in the Northeast. Stratford Homes is a good option for mid range home buyers. Our mystery shopper enjoyed their website and home catalog. |

Personal Reviews of Stratford Homes LP

Builder in DM tried to price gouge me. Went to a different builder with SAME product line, $31,000 cheaper. Tread carefully. The builder makes the product.

Huge delays. Looking for plant help at every position I heard. Beautiful home if you have a year to finish it. Confirm delivery and set prices before moving forward, they do neither.

Overpriced. You wait as they build multi-level buildings. Site build cheaper with more control.

THE best of the industry. Want real quality then buy Stratford. My friend is a builder and he said they have the best team of support anywhere.

Well built home. Works through a builders network and are picky who they allow to be builders as a friend told me. Close or better then site built as far as quality. More builders need to sign on.

Really nice homes. NO displays nearby.

Love their homes. Hate the limited builders in Iowa. Tried calling the Forest City location and emailing..no response. Homes are awesome and the company is a big family.

Loved the whole buying/building process. Professional company. Need more builders in their network or a display lot..

Great Home. I wish they had more viewable homes in Iowa..friends want to build too but no visual to look at besides my ranch. Super people tho.

Stratford homes are fairly well constructed. The major problem is where they join the pieces of the house together. We have definite humps in our wood floor where it was joined together. Our builder offered no help. So we live with it but I would never do a manufactured home again.
