| Editorial Review | Northstar Homes is an above average custom modular home builder. We were very impressed with the images of their completed projects. This is a good option for mid range and upper scale home buyers. There are not many other builders that serve the same area and provide this quality of work. We also appreciate that this is a small family owned company. They work on only a few homes every year so you know they are paying attention to all of their projects. |

Kal Larson from Brighton, Co.My home was ordered and supposed to be ready for move in by Memorial Day, Then July 4th, we finally moved in late August after threatening to move in without a Certificate of Occupancy. The crew doing the work caused bark to fall off from one of my trees that I may lose. Since the home was delivered every water fixture in it with the exception of two, 2nd bathroom tub and sink. have had to be replaced. Most of them at my cost. The heater still makes unusual noises and we have tried to get them to look at it but to no avail. Also we were told that water is standing on the plastic under the house and were told that it was not unusual. Attempts to get things fixed were met with slow to no response. I would advise not using this business for your needs
Gary Garland from Buffalo WyoIt is to bad you don't put in a no star option. How do you spend $350,000 on a 4 plex have it 5 months late getting finished,still not done after two years,all 4 apartments were damaged right off the bat because the installers didn't hook up the sewer pipes when they put the house together and it cost me $6,000.00 to have it fixed with no reimbursement paid. Run from these guys as fast as possible.

While there were some issues with Mr. Garland's projects (as there can be with any building project), the majority of Mr. Garland's complaints involve items that were clearly defined in the contract as his scope of work and responsibility - including the inter-mod plumbing connections. Additionally, some of the delays were caused by sub-contractors that Mr. Garland chose to use. We regret that the project did not go as smoothly as our typical projects do and we feel that worked with Mr. Garland to resolve all of his concerns.
