Editorial Review | Meadows Homes which used to be called Modular One are good but average modular homes. We like that their specifications are solid and also pay close attention to energy efficiency which will save home owners money. Our main issue is with their floorplans. Their floorplans are not very impressive. They would be great when compared with mobile homes but these designs would have a harder time when compared with stick-built homes. They are a good value and we feel they will best serve entry level to mid range home buyers. |

Personal Reviews of Meadows Homes

We have been in our home for 14 years and it was the easiest construction, They took care of everything. Still very satisfied.

We have been in our house almost 4 years. First of all the house was NOT properly set up, the walls were sealed correctly and the carpets are unreal. We requested the BEST windows and they maybe the best Modular One has but the are worst than the worsted windows we had in a stick built house. When you sat in our living room and the wind was blowing you felt like you were in a wind tunnel. We hope we finally have that corrected. One of the other owners says that service after the sale "sucks" is very true. We had to get the utilities inspector from the state to come and get somethings straightened out. They did NOT put enough vent pipes in the roof and had to send a plumber to fix that, also the doors {inside & out ) do not shut properly and of course do not seal. We have called and called until Phillip Townsend said he had more money in this house than any other he has sold. Finally we just gave up and are paying to get this house the way it should have been in beginning. We would not recommend Modular One to anyone if they have to deal with Mr. Townsend , Joe Bush seems to be a fair and honest man but he can only do what his boss lets him. We believe Phillip Townsend will be the downfall of Modular One in this area. GOOD LUCK to all you other owners we hope you can get satisfaction out of this company. We would have commented sooner but just found this web-site.

Have been in home over 9 years now and since the start I have classified it as "a brand new fixer upper" as it has had problems from the start. The floors were all messed up with humps in it and service from the company was sad. Drywall had cracks it in and the fix they did looked like crap. Once they have the money seems like service ends. Regreting not building a house instead of buying one of these!!

I'm installing new windows in a 1989 Monarch Mod. 1481 mobile home and am horrified to discover that there is no exterior vapour barrier any where, it seem that metal siding directly on OSB was good enough!!! Not!! Also galvanized metal over trusses not too good either!!

Have lived in home over two years and sevice after the sale is really bad, drywall seams in the celing can be seen all through the house, windows won`t shut and lock properly, kitchen cabinets falling apart and the list goes on.

Been in home two years and can say service after the sale sucks. They want return your calls and it takes months to get a service call. Doors have never worked right. Spots coming thru wall and ceiling paint. Cracks everywhere on ceiling.

I love my home!I looked at many stick built homes and the quality of my home is much better than the stick built homes not to mention a much better price! I can not say enough good things about Modular One, they listen to what I wanted and built the home that surpassed my every expectation. I would highly reccommend Modular One to anyone that is looking for a home.

let me say these homes are 1# you can tell pride was put in to these wow the quality is great look at one in person pictures do them no justice great homes built by great folks!

I don't own one of these homes, but i intend to.I am going to be buying a home this summer and if God willng i will.I have been on the internet searching for months looking for a nice home.I just found your website tonight. These are the most beautiful homes i have seen so far.I love them.I think they are beautiful and hopefully by spring i will have one.
