Editorial Review | Marlette Homes is a provider of above average manufactured mobile homes. They are a part of the Clayton network and have many resources behind them. They are a good option if you are looking for a mobile home but not a good option if you are looking for a modular home or alternative to stick-built homes. Marlette homes will not blend in well with other stick-built homes. We feel that the best way for your home to blend in with stick-built home appearances is to use a provider of modular homes. |

Personal Reviews of Marlette Homes

just got our mobile home new in july 2018 new And I Wish We Did not Get it ,Poor quality Falling a part and it's brand New got it at Clayton homes in Abboestown,pa Very disappointment ,got a lot of cracks in the wall and more ,I could Right a book on it . Never again .

Home was slapped together. Moldings not lined up, not insulated well at all. Biggest problem is the window leaking. It started with the roof shingles not being secured like they should and now kitchen window takes on a lot of water every time it rains. Wall is ruined and moldy below the window. Wall board color has been discontinued. Home is only 4 years old! Have called several times about this and they just keep pushing it off. The home should not being having these kinds of issues if it wasn't just slapped together when it was built.

We purchased a Marlette modular home. Built in 2013. Installed 2014. We purchased in early 2015 at less than 1 year since installation date.
As of 2017, we had moderate to dangerous levels of mold around EVERY WINDOW on our home. we have had about 200 roof tiles blow off the roof of the modular portion of the house, but not the garage which was constructed by local contractors. The siding was installed so that all seams line up with one another that increases likelihood of water getting trapped in the cracks (rather than staggered as most contractors do).
A home inspection showed immensely poor craftsmanship and agreed that Moderate to high levels of Mold in our walls after only 2 years was NOT a result of a lack of owner maintenance but poor craftsmanship.
I would NEVER RECOMMEND MARLETTE HOMES to anyone. Not even my enemy.

We purchased a Marlette home in 1967. We still have it. It has been a good solid home. We lived in it for 13 years and have rented it since that time. We replaced the roof in 2009 but everything else is original. I would like to have another Marlette home.

Bought my home in 1996 and have LOVED it. However, it is now early May/2010 and we had our roof looked at and it became an emergency to have it repaired. Inferior materials have led to water damage to the sheeting beneath the shingles. What a disappointment! I had touted Marlette as THE best in manufactured homes and now I say, "When buying a manufactured home, always put a new roof on at the get-go as the roof seems to be the weak spot on these homes. Sorry Marlette. It's costing us a BUNDLE to have sheeting, rafter-tails and fascia(sp) boards replaced - to the tune of $7,500.00. Please consider putting better roofing materials on your newer homes. Please?

My family has had their Martlette mobile home since 1978. The structural foundation of the mobile homes has held up very well over the years. We've replaced the carpet, cabinetry, etc. but we have not had to fix the roof or any other structural components.

Great home!! Mine is a 1986 and is in great conditon. Just put the first roof on a couple years ago. Not sure about the new ones, but very satisified with mine!

I love Marlette homes i find them to be very good solid homes.I have owned two a 1971 and now a 1978 They sure do hold up in time i plan to get a double wide eventually and it will be nothing less than a Marlette
