Editorial Review | Grafton Homes is now closed. They were a builder of above average modular homes. They offered many options and customization features. This was a good example of a small operation doing good work and passing along the savings to the home buyer. Their standard building specification was higher than most others. This was a good option for anyone in or near West Virginia. These homes would match the quality of stick-built homes and blend in well in any neighborhood. |

Personal Reviews of Grafton Homes

We had our home built by Grafton Homes at Grafton WV, it was the most greatest way to build a home, we were tremendously happy with all aspects during game the building process. They took much pride in there work, always there to answer questions, I was able to visit grafton to see my house being built, we were very disappointed to here they were no longer in buisness. We have been our home now for 15 years this year and have been pleased with it and have recommended dedicated them to other friends but in finding out they are no longer there. If I would ever build again I would hope they would be around again. We are very happy and would not of built any other way

Overall my home is well built....except for the site built which was done by a subcontractor hired by Grafton. Grafton service after delivery was terrible. No communication!!! Their "onsite contractor" who did our garage and laundry room was a waste and probably was part of the reason Grafton Homes has filed bankrupt. There was no communication with me after the house was set....thus, those "supervisors" and "management" was not doing their job and also contributed to them filing bankrupt! We still have some issues that were to be covered by the warrenty but Grafton never did. What a shame this once a good builder is gone....because of a few bad apples!

1997, took over three months after told house was "move in ready" to resolve contractor work/house issues enough to move in. Took another six to finish work and hire other contractors to fix things. Awful!

Terrible service after delivery. Had a previous GH home in Fairmont, WV built in 1997 no problems with that one. However, something changed with the company and the management, so drastice that after delivering the 2nd home to Hampshire County, WV that it took 8 weeks to finally get into the house in summer 2005. Since have had to have an electrician, plumber and HVAC "fix" problems that should have never been allowed to occur. Watch out, may re-open under new name. Would never refer anyone to them or a new company in same facility by same management.

very poor quality control and after market service...now bankrupted.

0 stars from me, I bought a grafton home and they did the plumbing and electric wrong, the wrap up crew was terrible and they never came back to finish
