Editorial Review | Foremost Industries was one of the more veteran modular home providers on the East Coast and they did a good job keeping ahead of the competition until some lawsuits about finances and unfulfilled donations. Now it appears that they might have closed and reopened under a new name - Citadel Modular Solutions only to have closed again. They have expanded facilities to provide custom cabinetry and roofs. Their homes will satisfy upper scale home buyers. Their website is poor in the amount of information available but their workmanship is above average. We are not confident with Foremost homes due to the questions the lawsuits raise so modular home buyers might want to consider other modular home companies. |

Personal Reviews of Foremost Industries Inc. / Citadel Modular

We purchased our Foremost home in 1997 and have been completely satisfied with the quality of this home. Everyone who visits us are impressed with the quality. Our daughter also purchased a Foremost home.

I purchased our home from Foremost in 1987 and still living in it replaced appliances and shingles on the roof the rest of the house is in fine shape. i was telling a friend about our house she is looking to buy a new home I highly reccomend Foremost went to the web sight to find they are out of business.

I grew up in a Foremost capecod. My parents built around 1995 and sold the home after living in it for 20 years. Was well built and we never had any structural issues. We built on the side of a mountain and it was always warm, no drafts. I'm sad to see they are having these issues as I am now looking to build my own home and knew what a quality home I grew up in.

Our neighbor had her Foremost built in 1996 and when finished, OUR property value increased. Neighbor has passed away and strongest selling point is "It's a Foremost"

We bought our home 1986 still looks just as nice as the day we got the keys. That is why we will buy our next home from foremost in a few years.

We bought our Foremost house in 1988, We have been here ever since, The house has and will last us a lifetime..After 26 years, we are just now having to replace our carpet in the living room, (the 2 grandchildren have finally wore it out. We might have to replace the shingles in the next couple of years..Other than that, everything is still great and in working order..We have had to replace the appliances..And the homes are very affordable.

I've been living in my foremost home since 1995 and have been extremely pleased with the quality and integrity of this house. While friends and family suffer with structural problems (cracks, leaks, etc.) in their newer, more expensive stick-built homes, we've not had a single problem in all these years. Even the original appliances that came with our home are still working! What's more, folks are suprised when discovering our home is a modular --- even moreso when we tell them what we paid. Our next home purchase, here in the next couple of years, will also be a Foremost. Absolutely the best investment we've ever made.

We designed our own home and Foremost made a few minor modifications to build it as a modular nearly 2500 sq. ft. home with a 3-car (panelized) garage attached. The process was easy and their workmanship is superior. This hot (2012) summer reconfirmed our delight. With this energy-star home we have been enjoying unexpected low electric bills. Everyone on the staff was a delight to work with, starting with the CEO.

I bought my home in l996 had a house fire and rebuilt with this Cape Cod home from Foremost. This home is absolutely beautiful everyone that comes to my home cannot believe it was set with cranes came in 3 sections it is top quality building materials from the roof to the floors I just love it quality quality quality if I would ever have the need to do this again Foremost would be making me another home cannot say enough about this company plus the people who work there just great

My husband and I purchased a shell package and completed the house ourselves. I have nothing but praise for Foremost Homes, they were always there if we had a question, concern or minor problem. We looked at many different companies for several years, going to see their models and listening to their "spin", we always came back to Foremost Homes, they were always honest to us about everything and spent "hours" with us going over every detail. What we could expect when building our home from a shell compared to purchasing a "turn-key" home. Thank you so very much to everyone at Foremost Homes - you are the best!

We bought our home in 1983. After 26 years we are still very pleased with the quality of its construction. Our son and daughter-in-law are planning to buy a Foremost this year as their first home. My son's in-laws also have a Foremost home. We are keeping Foremost homes in the family. Keep up the excellent craftmanship!!

Our experience with foremost was great! Our sales person Keith was very knowledgeable and led us through the process start to finish. Our house was completed and ready for delivery early then expected. We are very impressed with the quality and workmanship put into this house. We are extremely satisfied with our purchase!

We looked at every Mfg with in driving distance and kep going back to Foremost. A super house and super people The web site sucks but I guess most houses are sold word of mouth. Woule definately do it again!

We bought our home in 2001. We absolutely love everything about our home. The folks at Foremost were wonderful. We recommend Foremost to everyone.

We bought our home in 2003 and were very impressed with the customer service from day one, as well as the quality of the home. We have recommended Foremost to family and friends and would not hesitate to use them again!

We bought our rancher in 1987 and are still very pleased with the integrity of this home. Many times over the years people have expressed surprise that it is not a custom built home. It was a great investment!!
