Editorial Review | This company is currently closed. Centara Building Technologies divided their focus between commercial modular buildings and modular housing. They provide nice, average homes but their homes seem to lack when compared to high end modular home providers. We are confident that commercial customers will be well served as they have developed some very innovative techniques including moving concrete bases. We do have doubts for higher end modular home buyers. They might be better served elsewhere. Our mystery shopper was very frustrated with the limited information on their website and the difficulty in contacting them for more information. |

Personal Reviews of Centara Building Technologies

I am still working in this facility. After cut backs and lay off after lay off! Upper management changes there mind almost daily. First run 1 floor out the door a day. We had 20 floors in the yard unfinished. Next everything needs to be finished. Next came a layoff of about 60%.
We were told to finish every thing in the yard and have ready to ship. Next we were told "Centara will not build HUD, only state code and un coded homes".
Next we were told that we would shift production to line 2, and we spent 4 weeks moving. Next we were told that we would not be building any more Drywall State code homes. Now last week they layoff 70% of our Management and 50% of our experienced workers.
The few homes that do go out the door are sad! And still we have yet to ship a 100% complete home this year. We have built less than 50.
other than these few items, there doing a great Job!
Thanks,
Katrina Flores

These folks are awful!! Here is what I have experienced; false promises, missed deadlines, incomplete production and failure to warranty their product. This operation is a disaster.
Honestly,

Contrary to your editorial review, I toured the factory yesterday, and found the personnel, and production facilities to be superb. The quality of the final product, is excellent, built to extremely high standards.
By far, the cement/concrete steel based units are superior to most every method of modular building in the market place.
Strongly suggest that you contact Mr. Robby Pierce (Business Development Specialist rpierce@centarabt.com) for further information.
Your Editorial is doing this fine company an injustice.
Sincerely,
