Editorial Review | Bonneville Homes is a family owned home provider. It seems like almost half the people working there all have the same last name. Normally family owned companies are very detailed oriented and provide exceptional customer service. Our mystery shopper was surprised to find not great customer service. We did see they have good building specifications to keep you comfortable for the cold Canadian winters and meet or exceed local building codes. We liked several of their floor plans which would look good in nice suburban neighborhoods. We would recommend a little caution with Bonneville based on the poor customer service we encountered. The builders that we have spoken with, have high regard for Bonneville Homes so if you are near to them you should visit and see for yourself. |

Personal Reviews of Bonneville Homes
Jack from Gatineau
I had a video conference with Bonneville asking questions about the models, he was a bit pushy, I didn't really feel like was a potential customer, what really turned me off at the end of the conversation, is that he wanted me to put a deposit, before prices went up, I haven't even had a chance to visit the show room, to see for myself, how can someone ask you to commit with a 30 minute video conference, are they nuts, or they don't like english people, or they are just too big to deal with people who ask too many questions. One more thought is because they give only high priority to people buy the their 500K plus homes.Never again, terrible customer service.

Very negative.

if it was possible, I would give less than 1 star. Paid a deposit and had to end up cancelling our purchase because we were told 3 different prices from 3 different people (and three different definitions of what the fine print meant). We wasted money getting appraisals, putting in offers to purchase our land, etc. Because bonneville gave us the run around. We talked to someone from Arnprior and a man from Mont Trembland. Not only that, they then refused to reimburse any of our deposit. We werent asking for it all back, but a portion would be nice since they were the ones who screwed up. I would not recommend.
johnny from toronto
The sales person said they wanted to 'whip it out' for me to sign. Rude. He was trying to lure me into signing it on the spot.
Jeff from Toronto
I went into the Oro Medonte location and I was totally NOT impressed from the service that I had received from Randie the front receptionist!! She was rude and dressed unprofessional; . She was also lazy just sat on her chair and said to me go take a look if you want and did not want to answer my questions ...The customer service was the worst that I have ever experienced and . I would never recommend Bonneville homes to anyone!!
linda from trenton ontario
we were very interested in one of the houses in Belleville, so we were talking to the salesman trying to make a deal, he would not show us what the deal was unless we signed these papers, who the hell in there right mine would sign papers not knowing what the deal is, are they that stupid. but after reading these reviews, dont think ill go with them, sad way to do business
Victoria from Merrickville, ontario
We built a Bonneville home in 2009. We love our home, and have had very good service from Bonnevjille. We had a severe windstorm about a year after building and Bonneville repaired minor damages from the storm even though the warranty had expired. The house still impresses guests when they walk inside the front door. We built the Jordan. We are thinking about downsizing in a year or two and will likely go back to Bonneville to see what models would suit us.
Ben from Manotick
The models and designs are great! Though nothing but problems dealing with the company.
We made our purchase in 2015 and had a 2 year timeline and the promise of a $10,000.00 back bonus if all we had our home delivered by Dec 31, 2017. Initially everything was going great. In Feb 2017 we had a nice visit to the factory to choose our cabinets/finishes and toured the facility. We were all set to go with hopes to be in our new home late fall 2017....which we told would be no problem.
Then.....miscommunication, delays in getting paperwork, delays in detail drawings, a non responsive sales manager.....all delays from the Bonneville side lead to us missing our deadline and now Bonneville says we don't get our 10k bonus.
Not to mention the delays on part of the company has and will cause additional post delivery contractor costs, extra living expenses for a rental home, and financing issues.
In Feb 2017, we were told all we needed to do was start the foundation and call them when we had it ready. The sales manager told us once the foundation was up it would take 10-14 days to build our modules and then they would be available for delivery.
Foundation went up and I made the call....only to be told they would start "ordering" the materials for our home and it would take at least 3 months! So now its Jan 2018 and we are still waiting........with a foundation covered with snow.
There are too many other modular home companies out there now to justify using Bonneville.....never again.

Maybe the homes are good, who knows? Impossible to find how to get to the midels vusible from the 401 Belleville. Searching on line, all I find is this page. Useless, and a waste of my time. Guessing they are toi big to worry about getting new customers.

My husband and I are retired faculty from a large college in Ontario. We currently live in a custom built house. We are planning to downsize as many people our age do. A modular homes makes sense to us. We are very impressed by the Bonneville product. We have visited the factory and met with a professional designer. At all times we felt appreciated and respected. The designer worked with us for several hours refining our plan. When we visited the design room, which is the best I have ever seen, there was no pressure to upgrade. It is a family run business and you sense that when you arrive at the door. Employees were all trained workmen and it was a well organized and well run factory.I highly recommend Bonneville Homes for your housing choice.
