Our Review

Editor's Rating
Editorial ReviewManufactured Housing Enterprises just started a new modular housing division. The floorplans and computer images look nice but it is too early to judge the quality of these modular homes. Since they just started you may be able to negotiate a better rate since they have not yet established a reputation with their modular homes. Just make sure you use an experienced local modular home builder is you pick them as the manufacturer of your modular home.

Personal Reviews of Manufactured Housing Enterprises

Glen from IL
I bought it one year ago and have had constant problems. The kitchen sink needed to be replaced due to cracks and it was like pulling teeth to get them to replace it.The strips between the wall panels are coming away from the walls in several places and have fallen off completly in 3 others. The stripping around the roof line is bowed all the way around the house. It looks awful, but they say these are not covered under warranty or are within "accectable standards",whatever that means. The electrical outlets are very poorly secured and when I tried to tighten them I discovered the screws are stripped,as are the screws holding the front and rear doors. The shower/tub water connections in the second bath need to be tightened on a monthly basis to prevent them from leaking and they said it's "normal".Trying to get anything covered under the warranty is a waste of time as it takes them sereral weeks to admit theres' a problem and the service guy they sent was an absolute joke.Cancelled appts., wrong parts/no parts,no shows when scheduled.I'm going to sell as soon as I can find a buyer and I'm going to take a bath on the whole deal because I'm going to have to disclose all these problems.Stay away from this company.

I have lived in my MHE home for 8 years, purchased new. I have had to replace all the appliances within the first 4 years, my outdoor outlet quit working after 2 years, and no electrician can even traceit back to the panel. The last straw for me was just a few days ago when the kitchen cabinets fell off the wall (the cabinet backs are still on the wall). Junk, in one word.

Katherine B. Forsythe from Corydon, Indiana
I bought my home almost 10 years ago. It is sturdy and well built. The people at MHE are wonderful to deal with. I recommend them to anyone looking for a modular.

Tom from Franklin, PA
Absolutely loved my MHE home. Good quality, fair price.
