The homeowner is responsible for all of the onsite work which can be handled by subcontactors that the homeowner oversees. This allows you to potentially save a large amount on your modular home. Completing a modular home is not a small undertaking and if you do not have any construction background you will have a hard time making sure the subcontractors are doing the right thing for the right cost. For your modular home to be a success you need to follow the guidance provided by Factory Direct Modular Homes otherwise it can be a disaster. They tell all homeowner/builders to hire licensed subcontractors with liability insurance for their modular home project.
